Isaac Bishop is a multidisciplinary artist from Atlanta, GA with a strong work ethic and a desire to collaborate with the best and brightest in the world of video games. They’ve worked on numerous personal, academic, and professional projects related to game design and animation, often contributing a large amount of work and managerial duties. They’re known among peers for their attention to detail, eagerness to pitch in with any part of a project, and lightning-fast turnarounds.
With a gaming history kicked off by games like “Spore” (2008), “Minecraft” (2011), and an assortment of Nintendo titles, Isaac has been enamored with the unique worlds of video games since childhood. Their foray into game development began with the release of “Half-Life: Alyx - Final Hours”, a behind-the-scenes look at the production of Valve’s then-latest title, “Half-Life: Alyx”. They were enraptured by the vast assortment of skills that went into making a successful video game, and realized it was the perfect combination of their artistic talents and affinity for math and logic. After high school, they set off for Savannah College of Art & Design to pursue a bachelor’s in game development, and the rest is history.
In their spare time, when they’re not working on their slew of personal projects, they’re constantly learning anything and everything that might improve or provide insight to their craft.
Inspirations and interests
Isaac is drawn to games with strong visual identity, expressive characters, and worlds that reward curiosity. They approach every project as a piece of visual storytelling where mood, composition, and animation work together to guide the player’s experience.
Outside of team projects, Isaac writes and illustrates Steelheart Redux, an ongoing sci-fi action-adventure webcomic with over 200 published pages. Long-form storytelling has deeply shaped how they think about pacing, visual language, and emotional payoff in games.
Looking ahead
I enjoy working on collaborative teams where art, design, and technology intersect. I’m known for being reliable, fast, and communicative, and I take pride in following projects through from concept to ship.
I’m actively seeking opportunities with studios looking for a versatile game artist who can contribute across disciplines, take ownership of their work, and help bring playable worlds to life.
